Between the lines, please read all that is written around You. It is not only about a street photography or urban life but was meant to be the rehearsal of joining the abstract, geometrical dimensions into reality. I hope to be able to see in between the lines of the real and find my place in the world of aesthetic where time is stopped and unexpected, a bit surreal moments that are an integral part of life. The reality often seems to be too normal, too much seen and we are not able to notice how many extraordinary scenes are taking place close to us. The everyday surprising metaphysical theater is always open and invites us to take a seat. Discover abstract point of view, focus on incredible coincidence, don’t be annoyed and try to find a hidden meaning and beauty of daily living.

More and more immigration waves are crashing on Calabria coasts (South Italy) and seem to be endless. Coast Guards too regularly draw out thousands of anime. Unfortunately, this beautiful but known for mafia issues and unemployment problems territory will not be most likely they dreamed home. They will need to “move on” farther in search of the way out, from war conflicts, hunger, and many other issues. The promised land is still very far away from here.

Morocco hides and seek.

This project is about the mystery, a culture veiled but not totally covered. I was on the track of colors compositions, those special tonalities that pervade everywhere here, that play a leading role in creating the extraordinary atmosphere of Morocco. I’m fascinated by unexpected harmony, the coincidence between the candid life elements, people’s movements, gestures that create a hidden labyrinth of layers. I was following the tiny line between light and shadow, researching what is not easy to be seen and to be understood on the cultural level in the country where still many people consider photography as a medium that can steal their spirit. This project is about patiently waiting, to be slowly able to get into enchantment. It is about the theater of everyday life, where the usual “common” recovers its weight and meaning of art. My personal interpretation of the energy of places and the abstract nature of things. I was trying to discover the culture, deeply hidden in the details, so in this way, it would be capable to preserve itself from tourists’ consumption.
